Milky smile

My fondest memory so far of Dean is the moment when breastfeeding your tiny little baby, that they stop feeding to turn and give you the biggest milky smile. Even just thinking back to them moments gives me a warm little buzz.

Breastfeeding Dean when he was about two months old

It's hard work being a baby!

These are the moment that make being a parent worth it all!

  1. I have a couple of those photos too, it is really a special experience. I found a website, healthychild.org, you might like it. I ordered their book from amazon and it is a real eye opener, about chemicals in the environment that are harmful. I have cut out tinned foods because the cans are all lined with bpa which is linked to insulin resistance, heart disease, endocrine disruption and cancer, and I have also thrown the nonstick pans out, as the surface in teflon is linked to cancer and traces get into the food and build up in your body. Its a slow process and not possible to do entirely but I am trying to get environmental toxins and chemicals in my baby's environment down to a minimum.

  2. Thank you saffron I will definitely check that website out. I have been reding a lot of similar stuff, and really want to get rid of all that stuff too. It's scary what is allowed in things!
